Ricoh named in “Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2025” list

TOKYO, March 13, 2025 –Ricoh has once again been named among the “Clarivate Top 100 Global Innovators 2025” as announced today by Clarivate Plc, a global leader in providing trusted information and insights to accelerate the pace of innovation. This recognition is awarded to organizations that consistently demonstrate exceptional innovation excellence and sit at the very top of the global innovation ecosystem. This marks Ricoh’s sixth selection overall and its fourth consecutive inclusion since 2022.

Clarivate identified the Top 100 Global Innovators through a rigorous analysis of global invention data, assessing the strength of every patented idea based on its innovative impact. To determine the organizations that consistently and frequently generate high-quality innovations, Clarivate applies two threshold criteria and evaluates each potential candidate’s patented innovation output over the past five years.

Intellectual property is a key driver of technological advancement and one of Ricoh’s most valuable management assets. As Ricoh continues its transformation into a digital services company, it actively integrates intellectual property into its business and technology strategies. Ricoh also acquires intellectual property, which contribute to the competition and collaboration with multiple stakeholders, and promotes its effective utilization.

Under the 21st Mid-Term Management Strategy, launched in fiscal 2023, Ricoh is enhancing its data-driven intellectual property processes and developing talent capable of driving innovation. A key ESG target for fiscal 2025 is for digital services-related patent applications to account for more than 60% of total filings—aligning with Ricoh’s goal for digital services to contribute the same percentage to overall sales.
